Halloween at the Tipton's 2011
We have a fun tradition that we do for Halloween every year. I don't know how many years we have done this, but the kids were young when we started it. Now they still come in their costumes along with their children. We have ham chowder, home made bread and spiced cider. It's a fun way to spend time with our family!

August 2011 - Allan and Kai working on the new gazebo in the back yard. Kai is Papa's busy helper!
August 13, 2011 - We went to see my most favorite singer in the world, Josh Groban! We had great seats so we could see him really well. I love his voice, his music and he just oozes musical talent. He is amazing! I was in heaven for two hours.

It's taken me awhile to update my blog because life has been so busy, poor excuse I know. The following pictures were taken at a family reunion at my brother's home in Salmon, Idaho on July 23rd. Allan and I took our granddaughters, Aubrey and Alli Tipton there to enjoy some time with Frank and to ride some horses. The girls were in cowgirl heaven! We all had so much fun and it was very relaxing for us also. I think Frank even enjoyed himself and the girls just loved him. He loves to tease and he was so kind to help the girls saddle the horses and he rode with them also. None of our children were able to come, but we enjoyed visiting with Frank's children and grandchildren. We want to go up there again in a year or two and hopefully our kids will be able to go. We ate good food, had fun, went to church with Frank, but most importantly we were able to renew relationships and enjoy time together. Thanks Frank, you are an awesome brother and I love you dearly!

After our stay in Salmon, we went to spend the evening with Allan's sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Leon Bleggi. They live in Rexburg, Idaho. We had dinner with them on Sunday and we spent the night there. Thanks Judy and Leon! Monday, we went to Bear World and then headed home. It was great to spend time with Aubrey and Alli and really have some fun with them. I will post some more pictures soon.

MOURNING THE LOSS OF A BEAUTIFUL SISTER

My heart is hurting and I am missing my sister, Margie. She passed away on July 3, 2011 at the age of 59. She is a great example of love, charity, faith, strength, and enduring to the end with enormous health challenges. She continued to serve and bless the lives of others, even though it was very difficult for her because of her health. She had Parkinson's Disease and Crohn's Disease. How grateful I am for my Eternal Family and take great comfort in knowing that this separation is temporary and I will be with her again. I am grateful for the Plan of Happiness provided by our Savior Jesus Christ. We are so blessed!

Margery Jane Dalrymple Smith Obrey, 59 of Clinton, Utah passed away Sunday, July 3, 2011 at Davis North Hospital. She was born July 27, 1951 in Montpelier, Idaho, daughter of Leslie and Edith Dalrymple. She married Karl Joseph Smith on August 10, 1974 in Manti, Utah. They had four children together, and shared sixteen wonderful years until Karl passed away on August 1, 1990. She married Richard Marlow Obrey on April 9, 1993 in Salt Lake City, Utah and they enjoyed eighteen years together.

Margery loved her family very much. She enjoyed spending time with them, especially on outings and camping trips. She was a wonderful mother and wife, her family was her life. She was a devoted member of the L.D.S. Church and loved being involved in all of the church callings and activities she had throughout her life. She also enjoyed sewing, and collecting Native American dolls.

Surviving are her husband Richard Obrey; sons, Nathan (Cheri) Smith and Jacob (Sara) Smith; daughters, Abbi (Jeremy) Robb and Heidi (Ryan) Misrasi; Grandchildren: Kiley, Mykenzie, and Haydenn Robb, Keetun, Karter, and Averee Tucker, and Reagan Misrasi. Also surviving are her brother, Frank Dalrymple, and sisters, Nancy Martin, Teresa Tipton, and Janice Wallace.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 7, 2011 at 10 a.m. at the Clinton 6th Ward, 2223 North 1000 West, Clinton.
